of Oklahoma Athletics Department. All uses of the OU
marks must be approved by the appropriate area within
the OU Athletics Department. For media use, please consult the OU Athletics Media Relations office. For advertising and promotion, please coordinate with Sooner Sports Properties. OU utilizes the Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC) to administer its licensing program.
The official colors for the University of Oklahoma are crimson and cream. White is an acceptable alternative for cream and more commonly used. In print materials, the official crimson is PMS 201. The RGB for crimson is 167, 0, 29. The CMYK for crimson is 0, 100, 65, 34. On the web, the hexadecimal designation for OU crimson is 990000. The name of the institution is the University of Oklahoma. The designation "Oklahoma University" is incorrect . The initials OU may be used as a secondary reference. The official nickname of OU athletics teams is the Oklahoma Sooners. To use as an adjective, the nickname becomes singular: "Sooner Football", not "Sooners Football".
